BOSTON, MA: Pizzeria Regina
Bostonians love tradition and really good pizza. Regina was founded in 1926 by Luigi D'Auria in the North End and has been run by the Polcari family since 1956. It’s the oldest pizza house in Boston. If you have a homesick Bostonian on your gift list and you send them Pizzeria Regina, please record their dramatic reaction for me. LOL.
BOSTON, MA: Omni Parker Boston Cream Pie
The Omni Parker House Hotel created the Boston Cream Pie in 1856. It’s technically a chocolate topped golden cake filled with pastry cream and not a “pie”. Boston Cream Pie was proclaimed the official Massachusetts State Dessert in 1996. One of my favorite desserts!
